Fondazione Famiglia Tortora donates a next-generation lung ventilator for young patients at Bufalini Hospital

The donation to ensure personalized support for hospitalized children. A new gesture of solidarity and concrete support for the Pediatrics and Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Ospedale Bufalini in Cesena.

The Fondazione Famiglia Tortora, renewing its social commitment to support local healthcare, has donated a Servo-N lung ventilator, intended to provide respiratory support for newborns and children. The device represents an advanced technology capable of assisting patients of different pediatric ages, from newborns to older children, both through traditional invasive methods – via endotracheal tube – and through non-invasive methods, which are more gentle and less traumatic. The system stands out for its ability to synchronize extremely precisely with the patient’s breathing, ensuring personalized support.

At the presentation ceremony, held a few days ago in the Pediatrics department, were present the Director of Pediatrics and Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Marcello Stella, the unit coordinator Alice Rasi, the nursing manager of the Women’s and Adolescent Health Department Martina Spiga, and the Director of Patient Services, URP and Fundraising Elisabetta Montesi. Also attending was Emma Godani, representing the Fondazione Famiglia Tortora.

“I would like to express my gratitudeDr. Marcello Stella stated in a note – for the significant support that the Fondazione Famiglia Tortora has provided to our unit over the years, through major donations distinguished by continuity and consistency, representing not a one-time intervention but a stable and long-term support.”

The donation is part of an established collaboration aimed at improving the quality of care and introducing increasingly advanced technologies for the benefit of the most vulnerable patients.
